Pickle Ball

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a game much like tennis except it is played with paddles instead of rackets and whiffle balls instead of tennis balls. The court is also smaller than a tennis court, and uses a lower net. For additional rules and information, please view this document

Outdoor

Outdoor pickle ball is available at the two tennis courts behind the Bellaire Recreation Center, 7008 5th Street. These courts operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. You may also reserve one court at a time for up to two hours. The cost is $3.00 / hour for Bellaire Residents, or $5.00 / hour for non-residents. To make a reservation, please call the Bellaire Recreation Center front desk at (713) 662-8280.

Indoor

We now have pickle ball courts inside the Bellaire Recreation Center gymnasium! These courts are open for public play on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00am to 2:00pm. To use the courts, there is a $10 daily admission fee or you can purchase a Recreation Membership for $30/year for Bellaire Residents, $40/year for non-residents. If you have any other questions, please call the Recreation Center front desk at (713) 662-8280.

Starting Friday, May 31 our indoor pickleball hours will change to every Wednesday from 3:30pm - 5:30pm.
