Sergeant Daniel Kerr came to the Bellaire PD in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University. Sgt. Kerr currently holds a Master Peace Officer License and is an Advanced Accident Investigator and Crash Reconstructionist. During his tenure, Sgt. Kerr has held the positions of Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Detective, and Qualified Officer for Child Abuse Investigations, Bike Officer, Patrol Corporal, Patrol Sergeant, and Office of Professional Development Sergeant. Sgt. Kerr is currently assigned to Evening Shift.
Corporal Andre Porter started his career in public service with the United States Marine Corps (Semper Fi). After serving nine distinguished years as a Marine, Corporal Porter joined the Bellaire Police Department in May 2005.
In his tenure with the department, Cpl. Porter has served as a Special Response Team member, Field Training Officer, Advanced Accident Investigator, Physical Fitness Coordinator, Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Instructor, Taser Instructor, and Honor Guard Team member. Corporal Porter holds an Advanced Peace Officer certification through TCOLE.
