On June 11 Judge Hidalgo announced a new color-coded system to inform residents regarding the current level of risk from COVID-19. We strongly urge residents to take action to stay healthy, save lives, and ensure the local economy recovers in a way that is sustainable over the long term.

On May 18, 2021, Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order prohibiting governmental entities in Texas, including counties, cities, school districts, public health authorities, or government officials, from requiring or mandating face coverings, effective immediately. City Services Updates
The City of Bellaire will continue to provide city services. Fire, police, EMS, and public works services are still available at all times. We are actively encouraging city business to be handled online or via phone where possible. Please leave a voicemail if your call is not answered. Someone will get back to you. Bellaire Police & Courts Building - The Bellaire Police Department lobby is open to walk-in traffic. A list of contact numbers is posted on the lobby doors to assist visitors with their needs. Emergency call 911. Non-emergency 713-668-0487.
Municipal Court - Municipal Court arraignments will be held by Zoom on Tuesday and Wednesday until the end of March. All other activities are held in person. Please contact Municipal Court at courts@bellairetx.gov or call 713-662-8105 for more information.
Parks, Recreation, and Facilities - The Bellaire Town Square Family Aquatic Center & Elaine Wood Therapy Pool are open https://www.bellairetx.gov/720/Aquatics Swim times must be scheduled. The Bellaire Recreation Center fitness room is open and workout times must be scheduled. Fitness classes are available. Tennis courts, parks, play structures, Officer Lucy Dog Park, athletic fields, batting cages, and park restrooms are open. Bellaire Life programs and activities have resumed. Utility Billing - One Utility Billing customer service window is open. Trash bag and recycling bin sales have resumed, however, store-bought trash bags can be used. We strongly encourage you to continue to pay online. Visit https://www.bellairetx.gov/603/Utility-Billing. Online credit card payments are free and can be set up as automatic recurring payments – set it and forget it! Alternatively, you can drop your payment in the overnight deposit box located on the South Rice Avenue side of City Hall. Customers paying by mail or set up on automatic credit card draft and automatic bank draft can continue to pay using these methods. If you need to start a new service or terminate service, please call our Utility Billing customer service number at 713-662-8253.
Permitting/Development Services - The Development Services customer service desk is open to walk-in traffic Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Please submit all permit and inspection requests online with SmartGov. Development Services customer service 713-662-8230 or inspections@bellairetx.gov.

Event, Program, and Meeting Information City-sponsored events and activities have resumed with guidelines set by the State of Texas, Harris County, and CDC. Public city meetings may be conducted in-person. Please check the city calendar for more information regarding scheduled events and meetings.
Please practice routine healthy hygiene habits to help prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses like COVID-19, such as washing hands frequently, covering coughs and sneezes, avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth, and staying home if sick.
