The City of Bellaire is accepting applications for an opening on the Audit Finance Board until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019. The City is seeking a citizen member with financial or audit experience to fill this opening.
The Audit Finance Board is composed of three (3) members of the City Council and a citizen appointee with financial or audit experience, as well as the City Manager and Chief Financial Officer of the City.
Among the Audit Finance Board’s responsibilities are (1) reviewing the audit of the City prior to its submission to the City Council; (2) assisting the auditor and city staff with the presentation of the audit to the City Council; and (3) recommending to the City Council an auditor as needed.
The term for the citizen member of the Audit Finance Board is one year commencing on February 1, 2020 and ending on January 31, 2021.
