In an effort to facilitate solid waste collection requirements, Bellaire has begun stricter enforcement of the existing six trash bag limit outlined in the City Code of Ordinances - Solid Waste Collection Requirements. You may see a pink tag on your trash that is left behind to notify you that those items exceeded the six-bag limit and were not collected that day.
What if you have more than six trash bags?
- You can purchase stickers for additional trash bags to be collected
- One sticker allowed per extra bag
- Stickers are available for $1 each at Utility Billing
- Utility Billing is in the Customer Service area at Bellaire City Hall, 7008 South Rice Avenue
- Each sticker must be prominently displayed on the trash bag(s) at the curb for pick up
- All trash must be placed on the curb by 7:00 am
- Lawn maintenance contractors are required by ordinance to haul away all yard waste generated by their services
