FloodAware Seminar


The City of Bellaire is hosting a Floodaware Seminar in conjunction with the National Weather Service.  Residents can learn about and discuss topics such as flood risks and flood insurance.  Other topics include flood forecasts and warnings and information about our regional watershed.  The more we know, the better we can be prepared. 

This event will be on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 6:30 pm.  It will be located at Cross Point Church (4601 Bellaire Boulevard) and is free to the public.

City-wide Garage sale

City-Wide Garage Sale


Bellaire’s Annual City-Wide Garage Sale is Saturday, April 27, 2019. On this day, and this day only, the permit requirement is waived for any Bellaire resident who wishes to hold a garage sale at their home. Residents will be responsible for their individual advertising and must follow the sign ordinance listed in (Chapter 15, Section 5) of the City of Bellaire Code of Ordinances.  Please click on the link below.

Sarah Grace and The Soul!


Friday, April 5, 2019, is the Party at the Pavilion concert from 7 pm - 9 pm in Bellaire Town Square (7008 South Rice Avenue) with Sarah Grace and the Soul. You may have seen her on The Voice! Pink's Pizza will be selling pizza-by-the-slice and individual salads.  Bring your family and friends for the fun, free concert!

Join us the first Friday of every month through November for the Party at the Pavilion free concert series.  Upcoming acts include The Bourbon Street Experience, Drywater, and OMG.
Thanks to the PATRONS for Bellaire Parks and the City of Bellaire for making these concerts happen. Come out and join the fun!

 
Trash Bag

Trash Bag Delivery Dates


The City of Bellaire is revising the delivery schedule for trash bags in April.  All trash bags will be delivered to residents the weekend of Saturday, April 6, 2019 and Sunday, April 7, 2019.  Trash bag delivery will not have any effect on solid waste operations, and normal trash pick-up should occur as regularly scheduled on Monday, April 8, 2019.   Additional rolls of bags may be purchased for a small fee at Bellaire City Hall (7008 South Rice Avenue) in the Utility Billing office.

Bellaire Trolley Run

Saturday, April 13, 2019, the City of Bellaire, PATRONS for Bellaire Parks and the Al Lawrence Running Club will host the 24th Annual Bellaire Trolley Run! The 1-mile division starts at 7:30 am, followed by the wheelchair 5K division at 7:50 am, the 5K at 8:00 am and the new stroller 5K division at 8:10 am The race start is located in front of Bellaire City Hall at 7008 South Rice Avenue in Bellaire.

After the race, is when the real fun begins with our famous Post-Race Party with over 20 vendors providing goodies to the runners!

Register for the Bellaire Trolley Run at www.bellairetx.gov or at the Bellaire Recreation Center (7008 Fifth Street).  Please call 713-662-8280 for any other questions. 


 
Parking

City Hall Construction and Parking


Parking during the second phase of construction of the Civic Center to be attached to the newly completed City Hall has been modified for your safety.  There will be limited parking and no pedestrian access along South Rice Avenue between Jessamine Street and the new City Hall building.  Please park along Jessamine Street, Fifth Street or at the Bellaire Recreation Center and walk through the park to access City Hall.  Parking signs are posted around the construction zone directing you to park in the designated areas.
