Perhaps a news story made you question the actions of the police, or the vents that followed. Maybe you have had an interest in law enforcement and want to get a "behind-the-badge" view of what the police do. If any of these apply to you, then the Bellaire Citizens Police Academy is for you. The academy is an 8-week program that is designed to give participants a view of law enforcement and the criminal justice system from the perspective of a Bellaire Police Officer on patrol. Students will receive instruction on Wednesday nights from 07:00pm to 09:00pm on different subjects on policing. It is a preliminary screening tool designed to make contact between citizens and the police more efficient and effective. Once submitted, an officer will call you back as soon as they can. The incident must have occurred in the City of Bellaire, Texas. The person reporting must be 18 years of age or older. The reported crime must not be a "bias" motivated crime. Concerns regarding firearms, explosives and other material that threaten public safety cannot be reported online. Crimes with tangible evidence such as possible fingerprints, photographs, witnesses or video cannot be reported online.
