Telephonic City Council Meeting Monday, May 4, 2020


Bellaire City Council will hold a Regular Session on Monday, May 4, 2020, at 7:00 p.m.  This is a telephonic meeting.  If you wish to dial-in, the toll-free number is 1-888-475-4499, Meeting ID 980 5159 3009.  Instructions are available on page 2 of the agenda packet for those residents or members of the public that would like to address the City Council during this telephonic meeting. Please note that these requests to speak must be received prior to the start of meeting.

Tennis

Tennis Courts And Athletic Fields Open With Restrictions

Tennis courts, athletic fields, batting cages, and park restroom facilities have been opened.  Tennis court and athletic field usage are limited to four people at a time.  Online tennis court reservations are available. Play structures, the dog park, the recreation center, and pools will remain closed.

Please be on the lookout for a digital version of the summer Leisure Activities Guide.   The release of the guide will be postponed until we receive guidance on reopening our favorite summer activities like camps, exercise classes, and pools.

Curbside Service Will Resume 


We will resume the curbside hold pickup service at the library on Monday, May 4.  Curbside service will be available from 10 am until 6 pm, Monday through Thursday; 10 am until 2 pm on Friday and Saturday.  The library will open to the public at a later date.  

Library due dates on material check out have been extended to June.  The book drop is open if you wish to return your items during this time.

Mosquito

Mosquito Control Program 


The Mosquito Control Program uses environmentally friendly fog to control mosquito populations in Bellaire. The program typically this begins in May and lasts until October.  The spraying cycle occurs weekly as follows: Tuesday nights after 10:00 pm all areas inside and outside Loop 610 and can be adjusted due to weather or other conditions. 

The City offers a “No Spray Request” for its citizens who do not want the spraying to occur near their home.
