Parks and Recreation and
Library Services Update
Some City services are still being offered for you and your family, but in a modified and safety-conscious manner. If you need options for activities or just a break from the isolation, consider the following. City services currently available during this time:
Camp Paseo: Due to the postponement of the beginning of many schools in the area until September 8, the Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Department will be offering Camp Paseo (ages 5-12) for an additional four weeks until September 4. Please contact the Bellaire Recreation Center at 713-662-8280 with questions about camp or how to register.
Lap Swimming: Evergreen Pool and the Bellaire Town Square Family Aquatic Center are open for lap swim only. One hour swim times must be reserved in advance. Members may schedule two days in advance, and non-members may schedule one day in advance. Swimmers may reserve a swim time by calling the Bellaire Town Square Family Aquatic Center at 713-662-8284.
Bellaire City Library: The library continues to provide curbside hold pickup Mondays-Saturdays. With the delay in the start of school openings, the library will be extending summer reading and crafts to pick up curbside and do at home during August.
Helpful hints on locating books and resources for school work will also be posted on the library’s Facebook page.
The City encourages social-distancing and wearing a face covering when out in public. Our current services offered are being done so with County, State, and Federal guidelines being enforced. Stay safe during this time!
