Temporary Outdoor Restaurant Seating During COVID-19


Recently City Council approved an ordinance to allow restaurants in Bellaire to add additional temporary outdoor seating in their respective parking lots.  This temporary seating will enable restaurants in Bellaire to safely increase dining capacity within mandated COVID-19 restrictions until May of 2021.

Register to Vote

Drive-Thru Voter Registration September 22


Want to vote in November?  You must be registered to vote.  The City of Bellaire and the League of Women Voters would like to help you get registered.  On September 22, from 5:00 PM -7:30 PM, you can drive through and pick up a postage-paid voter registration application right in front of Bellaire City Hall.

To maintain social distancing standards, completed voter registration applications can be mailed in the mailbox outside Bellaire City Hall or via the United States Postal Service. The deadline to complete and send in the voter registration application is October 5 to vote in November.

Are You Prepared?


We will continue to see tropical weather and rain as the summer continues into fall.  All residents should GET A KIT, MAKE A PLAN and STAY INFORMED on tropical weather.

GET A KIT Check your hurricane preparedness kit. Do not forget about items for pets, babies and those with special medical needs.  Be sure to include extra masks and hand sanitizer.

MAKE A PLAN Review your family’s emergency plan, including what you will do if you stay or if you evacuate. Remember to take into account that social distancing is still needed for COVID-19. Now is the time to call 2-1-1 or go online to register for assistance if needed during an evacuation.

STAY INFORMED Go to www.bellairetx.gov for hurricane preparedness information and to sign up for PrepareBellaire notifications to stay informed.

The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will be on location in front of City Hall with a Donor Coach on September 23 & 25 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM each day.  The blood drive is open to City of Bellaire employees and the public.  Appointments are required and must be scheduled in advance. COVID-19 precautions will be strictly followed.  COVID-19 antibody testing is included in the blood donation process, and plasma donations will also be accepted.
