Governor Abbott's Executive Order GA-34 and City of Bellaire

It was announced by the Governor this week that the statewide mask mandate will be lifted, and businesses can now operate at 100% beginning March 10.  The City is currently reviewing the Texas Municipal League's summary of the Governor's Executive Order and we are waiting on the latest CDC guidelines before deciding what to reopen, when to reopen, and if there will be any changes in current COVID protocols.

Lifting the statewide mask mandate will not affect what is currently required in City facilities. As a result, the City wants to review all available information before making any decisions on reopening or expanding in-person services. Protecting the public and the staff is as important to the City as much as it is offering services.
