Hurricane Season is upon us. We are at risk of a hurricane or tropical storm striking the area. The City of Bellaire is ready to respond and encourages all residents to prepare, make a plan and stay informed.
How will the city communicate with you during an emergency?
The city will prepare answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS) before, during and after an event, and will provide updates as the situation develops. We will communicate the FAQS and updates in several ways:
- During an event the city's webpage and Facebook will be devoted to communicating information related to the event.
- Find us on Facebook.
- Twitter - You can sign up to receive "tweets" via the city's Twitter site. This will enable you to receive text messages related to the emergency situation on your cell phone. The city will only use the twitter site during emergency situations.
- We encourage everyone to sign up for the city's Emergency Notification list - Sign Up Now!
- All Local media will be contacted.
