Finance Administration

The Finance Department is responsible for general accounting, accounts payable, utility billing, purchasing, and municipal court operations. This includes cash and debt management, payroll processing, and monitoring of all revenue and expenditure activity of the city. The city's fiscal year is October 1 through September 30. The city issues an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) following the completion of the annual audit.

The city's taxes are collected by Harris County. You can pay and view your tax information at Harris County Tax Office.
